Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) is a degree program that delivers education to people who are interested to build a career in the leisure industry involving the planning, development, implementation and control of culinary and accommodation/billeting operations.

The BSHM program professionally trains and equip students with competencies that are needed to execute tasks on food production and accommodation operations and food – beverage service operations. The program prepares them to become highly competent hospitality management practitioners serving their constituents and those in allied professions while demonstrating high ethical and moral standards and the utmost in technical competence.

Graduates of the BSHM program can become successful professionals and perform a variety of tasks in a wide range of positions or designations. BSHM graduates are best suited for jobs such as Bartenders, Mixologist, Oenologist, Restaurant Steward, Bar Supervisor, Waiter/Food Attendant, Room Service Waiter, Sommelier, Barista, Baker, Butcher, Line Cooks, Demi Chef, Head Cook, Sous Chef, Captain Waiter, Executive Chef, Cabin Steward, Bell Captain, Executive Housekeeper, Receptionist, Concierge, Front Office Manager, and Convention and Event Manager.

In view of curriculum enhancements, BSHM graduates can also excel as business managers or entrepreneurs operating their own travel and/or leisure enterprises.

BSHM Specialized in Hotel and Restaurant Administration (HRA)
The Bachelor of Science Hospitality Management with specialization in Hotel and Restaurant Administration program of Lyceum of the Philippines – Davao exposes the students to the realistic field of hospitality. It offers them the professional foundation that they need in seeking a career in the service industry. The students must develop managerial knowledge and function such as hospitality education, customer relations, hotel and restaurant operations, food service, commercial food preparation and beverage operations that are necessary in their preparations to the enormous careers in the international hospitality industry.
• Practiced as hotelier and restaurateur locally and Internationally;
• Attained Supervisory or Managerial position in hotel and restaurant sector and/or as entrepreneurs;
• Engaged in lifelong learning through continues personal and professional advancement to keep current with local and global standards and acquired positions as leaders or various hospitality professionals;

BSHM Specialized in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Operations (CAKO)
This Hotel and Restaurant program brings out the skills and creativity of its students in the field of culinary arts. They were able to practice it through various competitions and trainings within the region and even in the national and international arena. This industry-based knowledge and ideal learning environment gives an advantage to the CAKO students for the competitive field of hospitality.

Three years after graduation, the students shall have:
• Practiced as kitchen staff locally and internationally;
• Attained supervisory or managerial position in hotel and restaurant sector and/or as entrepreneurs;
• Engaged in lifelong learning through continuous personal and professional advancement to keep current with local and global standards, and acquired positions as leaders of various hospitality professional organizations;
• Participated in social responsibility through involvement in the community development activities.


BSHM Specialized in Cruise Line Operations in Hotel Services (CLOHS) / BSHM Specialized in Cruise Line Operations in Culinary Arts (CLOCA)
Lyceum of the Philippines – Davao opens it door to cruise line industry as it offers two specializations in culinary arts and hotel services. This provides essential knowledge and skills for hospitality incorporating with training requirements that will allow the students to gain professional qualifications. CLOCA students should learn cooking skills to be prepared in presenting their talents to different nationalities. Meanwhile, CLOHS students should acquire managerial skills in hotel services.
