On October 8, 2024, the Lyceum of the Philippines – Davao (LPU-Davao) and Barangay Panacan officially sealed a partnership for community extension initiatives through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the Executive Office Boardroom of LPU-Davao. The event was graced by Dr. Jayson M. Barlan, COO/Vice President for Institutional Affairs, Dr. Kenny James P. Merin, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Marlyn D. Biton, Director for Research, Extension, and Development, as well as the Deans and Extension Cluster Focal Persons of LPU-Davao. Representing Barangay Panacan were Dr. Ericson Batican, Barangay Captain, along with three Barangay Leaders. The ceremony concluded with a campus tour, offering Dr. Batican and his team a closer look at LPU-Davao’s facilities and educational environment.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in fostering collaborative efforts that aim to uplift and empower the Barangay Panacan community through education, skill development, and holistic opportunities.
